Top 5 Macro-Friendly Protein Bars for Weight Loss

Ever go out and spend a bunch of money on protein bars to only get them home and rip one open and it's disgusting? It tastes like you just took a spoonful of your protein powder and put it straight in your mouth!

Now, you have spent all this money on something that you will not eat. Annoying!

Well, I have gone on a mission trying all kinds of protein bars (So I have wasted my money and spit out a lot of protein bars for you) and I have found the top 5 best protein bars out there! These bars have the best taste and actually are the best nutrition wise!

1. One Bar

I'll just go ahead and say it! These are hands down my FAVORITE! Not only are all the flavors drool worthy but the nutrition is on point! All the bars are around 210-230 calories with 20 grams of protein and ONE gram of sugar you can't beat that!

One Bars have quite a bit of flavors to choose from for any sweet tooth cravings! My favorite flavors are Maple Glazed Doughnut, Peanut Butter Pie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough but honestly, I have not found one that I do not like. I always keep my pantry stocked with these.

They recently just released White Chocolate Truffle and I can't wait to get my hands on that!

*Note that macros are going to differ from each bar!

2. thinkthin

These bars range from high protein to lower protein with high fiber, plant-based bars and they also have little protein bites that are delicious. They have a lot of flavors to choose from but my favorite would have to be the High Protein Bars in Chunky Peanut Butter!

It honestly tastes just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup! These are great to have on hand for a post-workout snack! Bonus, they even make thinkthink KID protein bars which are awesome for us mommas to get extra protein into our little ones.

3.Power Crunch Protein Energy Bars

Alright let me tell you, these are straight from cookie heaven. They are a creme filled wafer cookie loaded with protein and 5 grams of sugar! They are very low carb but are a bit higher in fat then other protein bars so if you track macros and have lower fat, just be aware of that!

My absolute favorite flavors are Salted Caramel, Red Velvet, and Chocolate Mint. If you are really craving a cookie, I highly recommend these!

Pro tip, if you are a thin mint lover put the chocolate mint one in the freezer it tastes EXACTLY like one!

4. RX Bars

What you see is what you get, literally. All of their ingredients are on the front of the bar. These are super clean and raw! They have very minimum ingredients and have no added sugar, no dairy, no soy and are gluten-free!

The chunks in these bars are the best part about them! I will say since they are very clean they definitely are not very sweet which I really enjoy but if you're into extremely sweet bars I'm not sure these would be the ones for you. They have tons of flavors, my favorite is Blueberry!

They also have RX bars for kids as well which is awesome! These are my favorite to take when I'm running errands because they make a great snack and actually fill me up!

Macro example: Blueberry 24C, 7F, 12P

5.Quest Bars

There are a lot of options with Quest Bars! Every bar is around 200 calories, has about 20-21 grams of protein and are high in fiber! They have so many good flavors that it can get overwhelming trying to choose.

Some of my favorites are S’mores, Mocha Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Brownie Smash! The only thing I will say is that these protein bars can sometimes be a little hard! So I like to heat them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds which makes them soft and taste just like a dessert!

Also if you haven’t checked out Quest before they also have frozen pizzas, protein cookies, protein chips ( which the tortilla ones taste like Doritos) and protein powder!

Macro example: Mocha Chocolate Chip 24C, 6F, 20P
